The Public Montessori Collaborative - California serves as a network aimed at advancing Montessori education within the public school system across California. We focus on supporting and connecting California public Montessori schools, sharing best practices, and advocating for Montessori principles in public education policies.

And we need you!

I'm Krishna Feeney, the Executive Director of the Public Montessori Institute of Oakland at Urban Montessori Charter School. This is really just a long title that means I am here to go BIG with you, connect public Montessori schools across the state of California, and change our educational systems for the better!

Working in any area of Public education is extremely challenging, rewarding and at times isolating. In the world of Public Montessori, it is even more challenging to find peers who understand what you really do all day. Our collaborative is designed to connect public Montessori educators form across the state to share best practices, wonders, successes, and just connect as humans who share in deeply important and revolutionary work!

Next Steps!

The more Public Montessori Educators join our Collaborative the more we can share and learn from each other. We are each powerful individually, but together we are changing public education.

As we move forward and grow our membership, our goal is to build a deep and lasting community of like minded educators, host an annual convening for California Public Montessori Schools, and eventually lobby the legislature for recognition of Montessori credentials as state credentials to increase access to Montessori learning for all California students!

Join a group Now and Support our vision for Montessori education for all.
